Privacy Policy

Miraculous (“we,” “us,” or “the app”) helps you record and reflect on meaningful moments in your life. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We designed Miraculous to keep your entries private to you.

Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information — when you sign in (with Apple, Google, or email), we receive an identifier and, depending on the method, your name and email address to create and secure your account.
• Your entries — the miracles, notes, prayers, moods, categories, dates, and any optional locations you choose to record.
• Voice recordings — if you use voice entry, audio is transcribed to text. Transcription is processed to create your entry; we do not retain the audio as a separate archive.

Information collected automatically

• Usage analytics — anonymous, aggregated product analytics (for example, which screens are used) to improve the app.
• Diagnostics — crash and error reports that help us find and fix problems.
• Location — only if you attach a location to an entry or grant permission; location is used to place that entry on your personal map. We do not track your location in the background.

How we use your information

• To provide the app’s core features — saving, syncing, mapping, and reflecting on your entries.
• To secure your account and keep your data available across your devices.
• To generate optional AI-guided reflections based on the entries you choose to reflect on.
• To understand product usage in aggregate and improve the experience.

How your information is stored and shared

Your entries are stored securely and are private to your account. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your entries with other users. We use trusted service providers to operate the app, who process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms:

• Authentication — Google Firebase Authentication, to sign you in and secure your account.
• Data storage & sync — Supabase, to store and sync your entries.
• AI reflections — OpenAI, to generate reflection text from entries you choose to reflect on. Reflection requests are processed to return results and are not used to identify you.
• Analytics — PostHog, for privacy-conscious product analytics.
• Diagnostics — Firebase Crashlytics, for crash and error reporting.

Your choices and rights

• Access & export — you can export your entries at any time from Settings.
• Deletion — you can delete individual entries, or delete your account from Settings, which permanently removes your account and associated data.
• Permissions — you can grant or revoke location, microphone, and notification access in your device settings at any time.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your associated entries from our active systems. Backups are cycled out on a rolling basis.

Children’s privacy

Miraculous is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
